Bahrain-based Bank ABC, MENA’s leading international bank, has been named among the top 10 GCC corporations by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which announced last Wednesday the winners of the Sharjah Economic Excellence Network Awards, including the Top 10 GCC Businesses Awards.

The economic excellence awards recognise sound corporate governance, quality assurance, work ethics and sustainable development. The awards ceremony was held under the patronage of Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, on 31 January 2018 at the Sharjah Expo Centre.

More than 100 corporation and tens of business leaders from the GCC were nominated to the 2017 excellence awards. The selection criteria included measures related to business excellence, professional practices and social responsibility.

“This recent award is yet another confirmation that we are on the right path to providing our customers with a differentiated experience and creating value for our shareholders. We particularly welcome the recognition of our Bank, as an employer of choice and a committed contributor to our local community,” said Dr. Khaled Kawan, Group Chief Executive Officer.

“We thank the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry for their organisation of these awards, which promote excellence and achievement in the work place,” he added.
