Who is Bank ABC?
Bank ABC (Arab Banking Corporation B.S.C) is an international banking group founded in 1980 in Bahrain, has a presence in more than 17 countries in the MENA, GCC, Europe, The Americas and Asia. Its main shareholders are solid institutional investors, such as Central Bank of Libya and Kuwait Investment Authority.
Bank ABC established its presence in the Algerian market by setting up a representative office in 1995, which enabled it to develop and strengthen the cooperation with the Algerian financial institutions and to benefit from the economic reforms authorizing the establishing of private banks with foreign capitals in the Algerian Market.
Bank ABC Algeria was then the first international private bank to be authorized to operate in Algeria by the “Conseil de la Monnaie et du Crédit” (Council of Currency and Credit of the Central Bank of Algeria) in 24th September, 1998 and began operations on 2nd December 1998 with the opening of its main branch at Bir Mourad Rais, Algiers.
