Amman, Jordan: In line with its vision and belief in its social responsibility, and to continue the effective role it plays in fighting against hunger and poverty, as well as, to promote the spirit of brotherhood, solidarity and charity in the society, Bank ABC in Jordan has continued its support for Tkiyet Um Ali by participating in securing monthly food parcels which are delivered to beneficiary families under TUA Food Aid Program.
In this regard, the General Manager of Bank ABC in Jordan, Mr. George Farah Sofia, pointed out that the Bank always strives to be an active player in serving the local community, contributing to achieving social development and providing support and care to various segments of the society. Mr. Sofia also praised the distinguished efforts exerted by Tkiyet Um Ali in helping the families in need in the Kingdom”.
On his part, the Director General of Tkiyet Um Ali, Mr. Samer Balkar, said: “We at Tkiyet Um Ali are glad to see one of the major private institutions, such as Bank ABC in Jordan, believing in our vision ‘Towards a hunger free Jordan’. We believe in the pivotal role the private sector has in supporting our efforts of securing a decent life for needy families, especially under the current difficult circumstances”.
Founded in 2003, Tkiyet Um Ali is a non-profit, Non-Governmental Organization that aims at fighting hunger in Jordan, and is currently providing monthly food aid to underprivileged families living in extreme poverty all over the Kingdom. These families receive, all year round, monthly food parcels that include all nutritional elements which fulfill the needs of a family for an entire month.
