​​​​​​​​​​The foreign account in convertible dinars, called CEDAC, is an account in convertible Algerian dinars opened for the benefit of physical or legal persons of foreign nationality.

It is a deposit account whose operating rules are defined in the bank terms and the agreement signed at the opening of this account, between the bank and its client.

The persons or entities authorized to open a CEDAC account are:

• Physical persons
• A foreign national employee whose employment contract in Algeria allows the transfer of part of their remuneration
• A foreign employee or partner of a foreign company for amounts repatriated from abroad
• A foreign traveler for the deposit of regularly imported sums during their stay in Algeria​
  
• All other foreign nationals for their freely transferable assets
