Bank ABC today launches ila Bank, foraying into the digital, mobile-only banking space, beginning with Bahrain with a roadmap to take it across the MENA region. ila reflects Bank ABC’s commitment to drive the financial services sector to the next frontier, combining technology with a human-centric design to redefine banking for the next generation. The launch took place in an impressive ceremony at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Bahrain on 24th November amidst government and Central Bank dignitaries, business community leaders along with ila and Bank ABC staff.
Bank ABC has been awarded “Most Innovative Arab Bank of the Year” at the FinX Awards 2019, organised by Fintech Galaxy, a digital crowdsourcing platform. The ceremony was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on 2 October 2019. This recognition is reflective of the solid strides the Bank has taken to embrace digital disruption and advance the fintech agenda in Bahrain and the wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Bank ABC and Soul Machines, a New Zealand based deep science technology company, announce that “Fatema,” a fully autonomous, AI-driven Digital Human, will be an integral part of the Bank’s customer experience. The ‘digital employee’ accumulates experiences, learns, and responds to customers individually through experiential learning, adding human-like intelligence to AI. Fatema uses an AI-powered Digital Brain to engage personally with customers and will work alongside Bank ABC’s mobile-only digital bank (to be launched by end of this year) team to offer a multi-faceted, personalised customer experience.
