Amman, Jordan: As part of its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, Bank ABC in Jordan announced the continuation of its support to Al Malath Foundation for Palliative Care, which is dedicated to providing care and support to patients with incurable diseases at advanced stages.
This support reflects the Bank’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable groups, by enabling the Foundation to sustain its free services that include medical and nursing care, as well as psychological, social and spiritual support for patients and their families.
Commenting on this initiative, Mr. George Farah Sofia, General Manager of Bank ABC in Jordan, said: “We believe that comprehensive palliative care plays a vital role in alleviating the suffering of patients, while allowing them to spend precious time with their loved ones at home, surrounded by care and support.”
Al Malath Foundation is a national non-profit organisation established in Jordan in 1993 as the first provider of free palliative care in the Middle East. The Foundation prioritises patients’ comfort and quality of life by alleviating pain and suffering in the final stage of life, while catering for their health, emotional and spiritual needs and supporting their families.
